The Story of Jenny & Robert | Central Park Wedding

We met as UK Officers in blue and serve our people with the most utmost respect. It is fitting that we both met at work. Rob swears it was love at first sight as our eyes met across the room.

We were inseparable from that moment onwards, and we traveled and explored many cities since; NYC being one of them and we fell absolutely in Love.
5 years later we found out we were expecting our first bundle of joy. As a last ditch effort before we lose our freedom, we decided to go back to our old stomping ground Mallorca, an island in Spain; where we had shared our very first memories vacationing together. Whilst eating at a restaurant where we had frequent on our first trip- Rob decided to pop the question and asked for my hand in marriage.

Our daughter arrived in the summer of 2014 making our growing family complete.

Despite all the great news follows some bad ones unfortunately. It has been tough losing a lot of our close relatives over a short span of time- it was time for some happiness and so we made the decision that we wanted to get married sooner rather than later. As soon as we knew when we wanted to get married it was a very easy and unanimous choice for the desired city: it had to be NYC!!

And 10 months later we did it- it was the most perfect, unforgettable day and we wish we could do it all again!

After the ceremony and photos we had drinks in the Loeb boathouse. We had booked a trolley to take us to a restaurant in Brooklyn- and although the weather had been perfect all day, it decided that NYC needed a huge thunderstorm.... And so whilst walking to meet the Trolley- we all got soaked!! It certainly didn't ruin the day though; what a memory we will all have of being soaking wet and looking for a trolley!

The Trolley took us to Convivium Osteria on 5th in Brooklyn, where we enjoyed an intimate dinner with our guests. We then travelled back by Trolley- after a long day, there were a few people snoozing on that journey!!

We can't thank Josephine Ruggiero at I Do Weddings NYC and Jimmy at Jimmy Chu Photography enough- they played a big part in making the ceremony run smoothly and keeping our guests hydrated!!
