Nestled in the rolling greens of West Hills Country Club in Middletown, New York, on a sun-kissed August 3rd afternoon, Victoria—a vibrant Puerto Rican beauty with a spirit as fiery as a coqui's call—and TJ, a steadfast Samoan powerhouse whose presence commanded the room like a gentle ocean wave, exchanged vows in a ceremony that was nothing short of magical. The air hummed with the rhythmic beats of bomba drums mingling seamlessly with the soul-stirring strums of ukulele-inspired island melodies, creating a tapestry of cultures that left guests swaying in their seats. Victoria glided down the aisle in her Enzoani gown, while TJ stood tall in a crisp black tuxedo. Their smiles radiated the kind of love that bridges oceans and heritages. As the golden hour painted the Hudson Valley skyline in hues of pink and amber, family and friends toasted to their union with piña coladas and fresh poke, a perfect blend of tropical paradises. Here's to Victoria and TJ: may your life together be as enduring as the ancient banyan trees and as lively as a San Juan fiesta—aloha and ¡salud!

We became inseparable over the years. All of our major milestones in life, we had reached together as a team. We graduated together from the College of Staten Island, we got the start in our careers together - it felt right that the biggest milestone of our lives was something that we should do together. I proposed to her in January outside of the River Café in DUMBO and then celebrated with some champagne at Cecconi's privately to enjoy the moment before meeting our parents to celebrate together as a family. Our next step was to get married and start our lives together as husband and wife.
Our ceremony was at Kimisis Theotokou Church in Brooklyn, and our priest so beautifully painted the picture of what our lives were going to be like in the future. We were a team, partners to share every happy event, every sadness, every exciting moment that the future would bring us. Our parents delivered some words of wisdom that will stay with us forever; “Respect each other, be good to each other, love each other.”
We celebrated our special day dancing the night away surrounded by our family and friends at The Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey, and it was a dream come true. - Perry

It's one of the first questions we get when people meet us for the first time. The expectation for some perfect plot similar to "When Harry Met Sally", "50 First Dates", or other romantic comedies we all grew up watching awaits eager ears. For some, it's clear that when they hear, "We met on an app, "Coffee Meets Bagels", the sparkle of attention fizzles away slightly from their eyes.
Love does not just show up on your doorstep, so it's understandable why old-school hopeless romantics may feel that online dating and apps are insulting to the courting and dating process. They do not cheat the system, but rather a reinvention of the rules as times have changed. You can imagine it similar to a game of football. The game itself has changed by adding rules and having players wear more protection, but the objective to score has always remained. For digital daters, personalities can be easily shadowed behind carefully curated photos and meticulously crafted profiled information. And of course, at least one quote from Marylin Monroe that she never said. Amanda and I each had different experiences with online dating, but it ultimately led us to each other.
From Dennis: The first thing I noticed when I saw her profile was her smile. Once I saw that smile, I knew it was a smile I wanted to be around all the time because it was like medicine for my soul. I imagined myself having a horrible day and then seeing that smile, and my mood would instantly be turned around. Then she had pictures of her holding a bunch of stuffed pandas, which were practically my spirit animal. My favorite part of her profile was when she stated, "I may be little, but I have a big appetite." On our first date, I put that statement to the test. We probably ordered enough to feed a family of four. As the waiter brought over dish after dish to our cozy little table, I notice the couple eating next to us stare at bewilderment on how we were going to finish all the food. Amanda tapped out pretty early and I'm not one to dine with liars, but her sense of humor, personality, and smile was more than enough to convince me that she could be the "one."
From Amanda: The first thing I noticed about Dennis's profile was his height. As a matter of fact, it is probably the first thing anyone notices when he walks into a room. A tall Asian man standing over 6 feet tall, that can't be real. On our first date, he stood at the bottom of the stairs of the restaurant waiting for me. As I walked down the stairs toward him, it wasn't until I was 3 steps from the bottom when we were almost the same height. Being at the shorter end of the spectrum, I was excited to see what this giant football player was all about. He proved to be one of the sweetest and most thoughtful people I have ever met. I soon learned that the biggest thing about Dennis is not his physical size; it is his heart. And that is what won me over.

From then until now, we have been through so many epic experiences together from the Thai jungle to the Moroccan sandstorms. We share an obsession with traveling, the moon and culture.
Sanjay proposed in May 2017 in the dessert of Zagora, Morocco under the moon and stars. It was a very intimate and the night ended with vocals and dancing from the Berbers.
We could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with the people we love. - Shenese

Danny purposed on July 21, 2018 in Newport Rhode Island. The night before the proposal, last minute we decided to go watch the sunset. We were both in sweat pants; I had no make up on, and hair in a messy bun. One of our friends went to take a picture of us out on a pier, and I remember thinking he better not purpose to me right now in sweats… and he didn’t. Thank God! The next night we were running so late for dinner reservation that a proposal didn’t even cross my mind. I was so focused on getting everyone out the door and getting a picture with the sunset with a dress and make up on this time. We were posing for a picture when the wind blew my hair in my face. By the time I was able to fix it, I realized Danny was on one knee. I was in such shock that I couldn’t get a word out. After what seem liked forever, Danny finally said “Are you going to answer my question?” and I yelled back “Yes, of course I will marry you!”.
We got married November 10, 2018 at the Watermill in Smithtown, NY. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. We were blessed to be able to share our special day with all the people who mean the very most to us. It was the best day of our lives because it was the first day of our beginning. - Kasey

James is truly a spectacular person. He is extremely funny and always thinking of others. He has the biggest heart, and I know he will do everything in his power to keep mine full. I knew that James was the one when we were at his mom’s summerhouse on Fire Island. We were all on the beach, catching some sun, and James was playing with the kids building sand castles and forts. It was the sweetest thing to see a big tough Marine, playing with his little cousins. It made me realize how tender and loving he would be with his own kids, and how I wanted to have him in my life forever. Seeing him in that moment made me realize how wholesome that beautiful heart of his is.
The night that we got engaged is a night that I will never forget. It was a Thursday and I had spent the entire day at work grading the Algebra 2 Regent’s exams for the school. James happened to be off that night, which is rare! He wanted to grab something to eat in Babylon, so when I got home from work we headed to Barrique. It was a gorgeous day out and decided to eat outside. After our early dinner we went to Argyle Lake, down the street. In the middle of taking a picture, James got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever person. Emotions were flooding and I couldn’t be any happier in that moment. To make it even more spectacular, our immediate family surprised me at a restaurant by our house. It was simply beautiful. The amount of joy, love and support that we felt in that one night, was unexplainable.
Shortly after our engagement we started planning our wedding. Everything moved at lightning speed. We were planning to get married 5 months from when we got engaged. Those of you who have planned a wedding, definitely know it can be extraordinarily stressful! However, it was not stressful for us one bit. We knew we wanted to be together, so why wait? Planning our wedding was seamless and everything fell into place. The anticipation of the big day was overwhelming. Our wedding turned out to be simply amazing. There is something so special about having everyone you love in one room celebrating with you. Although the night went extremely fast, we had so much fun and enjoyed every second of it. We really can’t thank our family, vendors and everyone who played a part in our special day, enough. The best part about it was that we did not have to worry about capturing this perfect moment because Jimmy Chu and his crew did a phenomenal job doing that for us. Thank you! Everything came together perfectly and we are so happy to have these beautiful memories to look back on! - Ariel

The Plaza Hotel is arguably the most iconic venue in New York City. It has held celebrities, presidents and royalty. People dream about getting married there, Kate Hudson even battled Anne Hathaway on screen for a coveted spot. My husband and I never dreamt of a Plaza wedding because we never thought it would be in reach. But we got married there.
Our relationship has been so much easier than planning our wedding turned out to be. We met casually through a mutual friend. Things escalated naturally and with ease. We’ve rarely spent time apart since meeting; there was a familiarity that occurred from the first day and ultimately brought us to the point of getting married.
For years, we talked about our dream of getting married at The Diamond Horseshoe, a newly resurrected avant garde Art Deco ballroom literally underneath the heart of Times Square. It has incredible details you’ve never seen before: rooms covered in wax, wallpaper made from actual butterfly wings, taxidermy leopards and a chandelier that looks plucked from The Phantom of the Opera is crashed into the bottom of a grand staircase. We were the second wedding they had ever booked. We had secured our band, chosen flowers, sent out save-the-dates, set up our cake tasting, and were on track. Seven months before our wedding date, my husband Nick got a nightmare phone call from the hospitality group managing the space telling us they'd been shut down and were cancelling all events.
We immediately left work and began calling nearly 90 venues - theaters, warehouses, lofts, you name it. We must have called every venue in New York. 7 months out, nearly 75% were booked. Every venue on our maybe list was gone, and we knew we weren't going to come anywhere near what we had budgeted. The first venue we visited, though beautiful, resulted in tears, mostly a reaction to what we had just lost.
On a whim, Nick contacted The Plaza. He explained our situation and honestly didn’t expect a response. They quickly responded, understanding our panic. Their events director got on the phone with Nick with a proposition. The Plaza’s wedding schedule was full for the spring. Most Plaza wedding receptions are held in the Grand Ballroom, but she explained that for our wedding date she had one available ballroom. The Grand Ballroom was reserved for a charity event, but the The Terrace Room was available. The Plaza was less familiar with throwing a reception in that room, but we were a happy to give it a test run! We met with her the following day and made the decision almost immediately.
As soon as the wedding venue was secured we had to start over. The style of everything went from quirky to much more traditional. Of course, there were still hiccups along the way, including needing to relocate our ceremony space. And the day before the wedding the entire hotel went on strike, causing us to relocate all of our guests. Even with the bumps in the road, our wedding day was beyond anything we could have imagined.
DIY-BLACK TIE
While we wanted a decadent black tie affair, it was important to us that it also felt like an intimate occasion. We had been very hands-on, and probably not the traditional Plaza couple. I (Robert) am a Creative Director for a Broadway as agency, so I had designed every detail and Nick helped in the assembly and logistics of everything. We called in every favor we could.
Everything had to be branded in our color palette and designed logo. Our engagement photo set the tone, we wanted them to be unique - classic, but fun. Broadway photographer Murphy Made took the photos. They were seen on our website, invites, envelope liners, and on mounted boards in our cocktail hour space.
The most memorable details were at each place setting. Each place card has an individualized note stating why each guest was important to us and listed a favorite memory with them. We wanted to make sure each guest felt welcomed and important to us, we had an overwhelming amount of feedback on that specific detail. I designed enamel pins that had illustrations of Nick and I on them. It was really fun seeing all the pins across the dance floor.
Our centerpieces were comprised of hand selected and re-purposed individual antique lamps as centerpiece vases, antique crystal dishes, antique mirrors and candelabras. Each table had a book prompting guests to leave us a memory on the corresponding anniversary.
In the foyer off the ballroom we sourced a neon sign with our hashtag. We printed the seat assignments on vinyl and adhered them to a massive gilded mirror that Nick was gifted. We also created two photo ops for our guests. We hired Murphy Made to capture posed portraits of our guests, which we sent to them after the wedding. We also had a simpler traditional DIY Photo Booth with props we designed to allow guests to share photos that evening. Our guests left with favors of hand glittered champagne bottles and chocolate truffles from Brooklyn.
THE WEDDING DAY:
Since the Plaza was one strike we were graciously rebooked at the Leona Helmsley sweet at the Park Lane hotel. Our day started with photos in Central Park at 6AM. The park was empty. In a day so heavily over scheduled it was great having a quiet moment with my husband to be where we could take our time and enjoy each other's company before the day got into gear.
The ceremony was intimate and light. Nick’s uncle Ken officiated. A band comprised of friends and family served as the entertainment for a pre-show as guests entered and provided live music during the ceremony. Our reading was “Blessing of the Hands” by Daniel L. Harris. We created a mold of our hands during the reading which is now displayed in our home. Nick hated the idea, but we laughed and cried through it, and it serves a wonderful memento.
During the reception the guests rarely left the dance floor. We had choreographed dances with our mothers that brought the house down. During dinner we did a photo race where we went to each table during one song to ensure that we got a photo with all of our guests. After dinner, Nick and I changed into custom sequin tuxedos created by Any Old Iron.
Our wedding was nothing like we could have pictured at the start of planning, but all of the challenges along the way only brought us closer together and made the day that much more special to us. - Robert

Corey and I first met back in 2008. It was sophomore year at Marist and he had just transferred in. Luckily enough I had become friends with many people that he knew from back home and that is how we were first introduced. We were strictly friends for about a year and a half - hanging out in the same social circle, attending the same parties. It was during our junior year that we made the leap from being friends into having a relationship (up for debate on who made the first move).
Fast forward 8 years later… we had graduated college and moved back home for a short time until we settled into our first home together in Astoria, where we still live today.
It was a cloudy Saturday in May 2017, when my best friend asked us to come out to Brooklyn and spend the day with her and her husband. No set plan but we decided to meet in Brooklyn Bridge Park right across the street from her apartment and grab some lunch nearby. I was being difficult that day because I wasn’t feeling too well and couldn’t decide if I would be able to go. Corey was nonchalantly pushing me to go and see how I felt once we got there. We took a cab over not saying a single word the whole time because I was resting my head trying to feel better (which come to find out was killing Corey inside with worry). A few minutes before arriving, I got a text from my friend Victoria telling me that they were almost ready if we wanted to meet over by the Pier in Brooklyn Bridge Park. We arrive and walk out towards the pier when Corey starts to act a little strange, pacing a bit (I literally ask him why he was being so weird). Finally, he looks at me and says “Victoria and Johnny are going to be a little late to meet us” as he gets down on one knee. He pulls out the ring and said some things that I’m sure were wonderful as he asked me to marry him, but unfortunately, I was in full blackout mode from complete surprise and excitement (causing me to also put the ring on the wrong hand). Our friends, along with his twin brother and his girlfriend were in fact right nearby capturing it all on camera. We headed to Manhattan where Corey had a party planned with our families and friends, and we celebrated all day and night!
We were married at Full Moon Resort in the Catskill Mountains. We decided to do a weekend getaway wedding. We figured having the full weekend with our family and friends would allow us to do the one thing that was most important to us… truly get the time to enjoy our wedding (we were constantly hearing that it flies by way too fast). All of our family and friends spent the full weekend together on the property doing all sorts of activities. There was just one hiccup that came two days before the wedding when Corey felt extremely sick (which never happens) and ended up with a 103 degree fever. We were rushing around trying to do all of our last minute errands, but luckily he got plenty of rest and pulled through. By Saturday he felt great and our wedding was more wonderful than we could have ever expected. From the ceremony, to the reception to the after party - we had the most amazing time celebrating with our families and friends, and most importantly each other. - Cassandra

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, a beautiful Princess named Jessie lived alone in a tall, enchanting castle with her pet lion, Frankie Bacon (OK, he’s really a cat). The Princess ruled all the land in the Kingdom of Queens, New York, as far as the eye can see – she traveled to magical realms, ate exotic fruits and made friends with faeries and gremlins from all corners of the world – and yet, she was still not satisfied.
One overcast day, the Princess took a chance meeting with a young Prince named Matt from a foreign land called Long Island. Though initially hesitant, the Princess bravely entered the agreed upon tavern and greeted the Prince, who turned out to be shy but handsome and charming. The two ate and laughed well into the night – and because they got along so well, they decided to meet again soon.
Fast forward to four years later, the two young royals decided to join their families and form a larger and more magnificent kingdom filled with happiness, love and animals. They adopted a dire wolf whom they named Banana Bread (OK, she’s really a Chihuahua) and decided to host a banquet in honor of this union at the Windham Mountain Resort.
On the day of their banquet, the Gods were angry for whatever reason and made things extremely difficult: one of the Prince’s knights decided to not show up at all, the Princess’ father was late to the ceremony and it rained and poured all day – ruining all the festivities and plans! Discouraged and helpless, the Prince and Princesses cried out “WHY GOD WHY.” Suddenly, an old shaman appeared out of thin air (OK, he was a random dude participating in a bike race nearby that day), pulled the young royals aside and said these wise words:
A wet knot is harder to untie.
And just like that, the young Prince and Princesses heeded these words of wisdom and decided to suck it up and enjoy the day as much as they can. Luckily for them, they hired Jimmy Chu, a magician who time-traveled from the future. Jimmy captured only the best photos from the day and left them with only the best memories.
And as the story goes…they lived happily ever after (until their honeymoon flight was delayed for 9 hours, thanks United Airlines).
The End. - Jessie

A few months into our relationship Kevin got the call that he was accepted into the long-awaited journey into the FDNY and very quickly started his Academy Boot Camp training. I took care of him during those grueling months and with just a few days before the Academy graduation, Kevin proposed to me at the FDNY family day on the Academy grounds, after he dramatically propelled off a building by a single rope, of course with the “Star Wars” theme music track in the background.
We got married at the Shadowbrook At Shrewsbury in Shrewsbury, New Jersey on August 11, 2018. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Kevin’s grandfather Frank Papia. It was a rainy, romantic and intimate evening surrounded by both of our families, friends and our extended family of FDNY firemen. Parents and close friends joined us under the chupah. The ceremony featured traditions from my Jewish faith like breaking the glass as well as an operatic Italian song, “The Prayer” performed by my friends, Kalean and Kyle. A beautiful Irish wedding knot performed and lead by Kevin’s Aunts Eileen and Virginia and sealed with our very own personalized handwritten wedding vows to one another. Our wedding had a 1920s Art Deco/Great Gatsby theme and The Shadowbrook was covered with feathers glitter and lots of candles. I surprised my husband to be and sang him the song “My funny Valentine” accompanied by my cousin Dr. Ilya Likterov on acoustic guitar. Jointly gave an even bigger surprise to our beloved guests by performing dances from “Dirty Dancing” and “Saturday Night Fever”... with a special Latin dance twist in the middle, performing a dance in the style of the Latin dance class where we’ve met, A bachata dance to the song, “Promise.” Last but not least, Kevin’s cousin Genna Cottingham, performed an exhilarating Irish step dance, honoring Kevin’s Irish roots, and the crowd went wild. - Sandy

]]>It was with great pleasure capturing Karina and Ryan's wedding in October. They were married at Glen Island Harbour Club with close friends and family. We were fortunate to have the perfect fall weather and there were many great moments captured throughout the day and we are glad to be a part of it all!
Our story started 9 years ago when I messaged Mia through social media called Friendster, our cupid that brought the long distance between Arizona and NY close. Between the telephone calls despite the time differences and several trips and many miles, we managed to fall head over heel in love. After a couple of years, I decided to move to NY as I knew she was definitely the one. The terrifying journey wasn't easy but we have strengthened our bond, come to understand each other a lot better and learned to compromise for one another through thick and thin. As soon as I slid the engagement ring on her finger after 7 blissful years together, I had realized that I found what I've been missing in my life all these years. My life after all... -Nyan

About 4 years ago, Katherine returned to the tri-state area in Florida, her home at the time to visit friends and family. Little did Katherine know, Florida would only be her temporary residence and New Jersey was where she truly belonged.
Simultaneously, Kyle was living with a fellow bachelor and dear friend whom also happened to be close with Katherine since high school; and so the seed was sown. Immediately Kyle and Katherine had a remarkable ability to communicate and connect on many levels. One might call it God's plan, some might call it destiny, others would call it attracting energies or like vibes, but whatever it was gave Katherine the strong intuition to know she should not be getting on a southbound plane any time soon. After visiting loved ones and meeting Kyle for the first time something inside her wouldn't let her leave.
Initially things were platonic- the two of them completely oblivious to the love that was being consummated. Not a second too soon Kyle and Katherine's relationship began to morph into a head over heels, can't get enough of each other kind of love. Quickly, the duo was truly inseparable.
As time goes by when young and in love, the months flew into years as Katherine and Kyle got closer, learning the complexity and the ins and outs of one another. Soon it was June of 2014 and the pair knew it was the right time to escalate their relationship and that they needed a place of their own. After finding a cozy place for themselves, their love began to grow exponentially, with more fervor and passion than ever before. At the rate that their affections flourished after sharing a home, It took no time for both Katherine and Kyle to know that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives forever with each other.
On September 13, 2015, a seemingly ordinary day for Kyle and Katherine, they went for a walk through the park which was already beginning to appear as a painting from the turning colors of the autumn leaves. In the park was a winding path that made its way through a bamboo forest which was fed by a sparkling, babbling brook. As if the beauty of the enchanted forest was not enough to take her breath away, Kyle arranged for a violinist that awaited their arrival. Stunned, Katherine's mind raced as she had no idea that what was transpiring would change her life forever.
Having planned to capture the precious moment, Kyle had already figured how to tape the whole scene. As the violinist played one of her favorite love songs, Kyle got down on one knee, and asked Katherine to marry him.
And the rest, well that's history in the making.....

]]>This past year has been one of the most fulfilling and rewarding times of my life. Caitlin and I celebrated another anniversary as we watch Ava grow up quicker than ever. My go to photographer, Jimmy Chu have been there for our engagement in New York City, the pregnancy reveal in Washington D.C., and most recently, San Francisco. I am grateful that we chose him to capture the progression over our special stages in life no matter which city especially the fact that I reside in Texas. Over the last 4 months, I planned a surprise trip to San Francisco for Caitlin and Ava; a moment to unwind and forget our daily responsibilities and focus on creating memories. Our hotels booked, rental car reserved and within a few clicks, the trip was set. Sounds simple but there's more to it. It took hidden credit card bills, secretive conversations between her boss and I and an unexplained tight budget for the household. Everything was set in place to have a memorable time. These captured moments from Jimmy is the icing on the cake! - Drew Anderson
We made our yearly pilgrimage to Chautauqua Lake, NY for the 4th of July family get-together, full of traditions both old and new. One tradition in particular would be unforgettable: the Sunday walkthrough at the Chautauqua Institute. One of our first pictures taken together as a couple was in front of the Anthenaeum Hotel, the site's grand reminder of how seriously people in the 1880's took their vacations.
The minutes leading to the ultimate proposal was nerve wracking to say the least. The chosen ring was perfect and though the exhilaration I felt made my heart skip several beats, I also experienced an uncanny sense of calmness. I have never been more sure of anything in my life of what I was about to do.
We walked to the front of the building together, her father and sister were also in town. I definitely wanted them there to witness the special moment with us. The rest of her family wasn't far behind to capture the view they were about to see. As we approached the fountain in front of the hotel, we took our last pictures as "boyfriend and girlfriend". I dropped to a knee and asked her to be my forever wife.
"Of course."
The ring fit perfectly, Of course it did. - Cullen

]]>The cliche about meeting “the one” is often echoed as it happens when its least expected- well I have to absolutely agree! Sotiris and I met at a wedding a couple of years ago in an already romantic setting. As a bridesmaids at my god sister’s wedding, I wasn’t expecting to meet anyone since everybody is pretty much family, paired up or married with kids! As the night went on, I couldn’t help but notice a handsome guy I've never seen before and was pleasantly surprised when he boldly grabbed my arm to introduce himself. What a brave soul and very memorable! A few weeks later, we started dating and before you know it we were inseparable. We are both pretty easy going and it doesn’t take much to entertain us! We love hanging out with family and friends, going to the beach, out for drinks, dancing, taking weekend trips when possible, and bumming around on the couch together.
What is comforting about our relationship is that our family ties go back many years and we have so many similarities since we are both from the same small city in northern Greece, Giannitsa. When my dad first immigrated to the states in his late teens, a nice family let him stay with them for a short time while he got himself started in the states- that was Sotiris’ parents. My dad is forever grateful to them and it is truly a blessing that Sotiris and I found each other later in life. I guess I have a lot to be thankful for!
We are so happy to have met each other and excited for what’s to come in our near future! - Vickie

After back and forth exchanges for about 18 months, Kris planned another trip to New Jersey end of 2014 to attend her sister’s wedding. We had our first real date at a restaurant in Hoboken later that month and have been nearly inseparable ever since.
We enjoy spending our free time at my lake house in the Pocono Mountains. We take full advantage of the activities in the area and are always either boating, swimming, exploring, hiking the trails of the local nature preserves or visiting the beautiful state parks. We also love to ski, travel and dine at the surrounding restaurants. - Thomas

I had been on Match for a few months when I sent a message to Jeanine one night. She got back to me and we went back a forth a few times. I finally asked for her number and never heard back.
A week or two later she finally answered and we chatted over the phone for a bit. Eventually I ended up going to the Bronx where she lives to meet her.
I was not expecting much, but it turned out to be the best first date I have had on Match. We talked all night and the rest was history. - Rich

They eventually rekindled and decided to visit New York in 2015 to spend some quality time together without the kids, they absolutely fell in love with the city & fell for each other all over again. They vowed to look forward and promised to visit again. James proposed again a year later, it was a complete surprise for her! He did it at the top of a hill in front of the kids, close to where they live. Murren burst into tears as she was so happy. James picked out the most amazing ring. They both immediately knew they wanted New York as their destination wedding. They kept everything a secret & surprised their family & friends.

We were apart for a year when Nick started his residency in Pittsburgh and Christine completed her chief residency year at Stony Brook. Our relationship survived thanks to FaceTime, British Airway points and our precious weekends! Eventually, Christine moved to Pittsburgh to start as a fellow in hematology and oncology.
The whirlwind of a couple of years of dating led us to the Clam bar in Montauk where Nick proposed to Christine over some more of those lobster rolls. She said yes and even let him have the rest of the lobster roll. If that's not true love... Nick and Christine will remain in Pittsburgh for the next three years to complete Christine’s fellowship in Hematology and Oncology and Nick's residency in Pathology. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for us! - Christine & Nick

A little about the lovely couple, they met about 16 years ago in Liverpool UK and currently resides in Australia with their two blessed children Mali and Cole. Michael proposed after they had their daughter Mali in 2010 but between moving & caring for their kids they naturally delayed the wedding planning. We met at High School in 2003 and have had the great of experience of going through University together, then travelling parts of the world together before then settling back in Scotland buying our first home a year and a half ago. We chose an intimate ceremony in New York as we wanted a fantastic memorable wedding day with just the two of us present. My dress was an online gamble to be honest which thankfully paid off. No family members were aware of our plans to marry in New York, this was kept as a surprise to share on our arrival back on Christmas Eve. We have also planned a wedding back here in Scotland in June, so we can share the experience with family and friends which we are very much looking forward to!

We got together just over 2 years ago and after I had a car accident just over a year ago Mark supported my decision and helped me go back to university and study again. We wanted to elope because a marriage isn't about the wedding day, and being involved with weddings all the time at my job we wanted our wedding to be about us. Our two year journey has been nothing but pure happiness. My other half proposed to me at the Grand Balcony of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York this past January and of course it was welcomed with a whole heartedly YES!
The long awaited special day 10.18.15 has finally come! After 10 months of wedding planning, our fruitful labor has finally come to life. We got lucky with the weather; a beautiful crisp autumn day in Rye, NY with a hint of flurries - a sign of good luck!. The ride to the church was filled with major anticipation of seeing each other and also our family and friends. Smiles and tears of joy immediately surrounded us while lavender was tossed after our ceremony.
It was official! Roberto and I united and took our first steps as husband and wife. My dream finally came true; a princess for the night getting married in a huge unforgettable castle. Let’s not forget - Roberto's dream came true as well, living the dream with me, the beautiful wife! We are so thankful to have our talented photographer, Jimmy and his crew to capture our special day. They were especially creative and hardworking, and their efforts definitely showed in our photos. The photographs truly brings to life spectacular memories of our unforgettable wedding day that is completely priceless.

This story begins in a home room. Sixth grade, Weston Middle School. Our phones were in the walls, hip hop was still edgy, and everything was like, really 90’s….
On the first day of school in 1994, Jeremy walked into Mrs. Motroni’s homeroom class as the shy new student. Jillian, a vision in braces and flannel, was not just another young stranger recounting her summer vacation that early September morning.
Glances and notes across the classroom predicated an awkward early courtship punctuated with an even more awkward first kiss. Bat Mitzvah’s at Cobb’s Mill, basketball games at the Union, and spin the bottle in a (finished) basement were our social scenes. The Redners, however, would not be long for Weston. The family would relocate to Zurich, Switzerland; A wonderful opportunity for Jillian presented Jeremy with his first taste of heartache.
So while Jillian served as America’s mid-Nineties cultural ambassador to the heathen’s of Zurich, Geneva and Bern, Jeremy stayed behind in Weston. He would graduate from Weston High School, captaining the football and track team, and blowing his lungs out in Sal LaRusso’s WHS jazz ensemble.
But graduation and the new millennium would present another opportunity for Jillian and Jeremy. Jungian synchronicity perhaps. Jillian’s family returned to Connecticut from abroad, and before they would both go off to college, she and Jeremy would have a summer to reconnect – all grown up at 18 years old.
Jillian’s first year of college at NYU was spent in Florence, Italy while Jeremy would bring his talents in the class and on the football field to Dartmouth College. Throughout her time in Manhattan and his spent in Hanover, Jeremy and Jillian remained very close. But there was one more intermission before the third act of the story. After graduating NYU, Jillian went on to work as a residential counselor at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT before earning a Master’s of Social Work degree at Fordham University. Following Dartmouth, Jeremy worked for a hedge fund, and eventually relocated from Fairfield County to West Harlem in New York City.
Several more years would pass, and after reconnecting at a get together for a friend in 2009 Jillian made the fateful phone call that would finally bring the two together for keeps. Where better but a house party, while the parents are out of town, for the two to rekindle? A few short years later Jillian insisted she move in with Jeremy in order to pursue her social work career at New York Presbyterian while Jeremy started up Mercury Continuity, a telecom engineering firm with fellow Westonite Adam Jaffe. In April of this year Jeremy finally stopped beating around the bush and proposed. The two will be wed at The Loading Dock in Stamford, CT in June 2016. The celebration is hosted by the bride’s parents, William and Dianne, and the groom’s, mother, Mae. Jillian’s sisters, Alyson and Courtney, also look forward to a middle school dance for the ages.

Early in the year of 2010, Drew and Caitlin met as coworkers near their hometown. Over the next four years, they got to know each other more, travelled the country, and laid the foundation for a great marriage. In April of 2014, they celebrated their engagement with a photo shoot by Jimmy Chu! One year and a set of wedding bands later, the Anderson family is celebrating a wedding anniversary and a new addition to their family, expected in April of 2016! What better way to document this life experience then to celebrate with Jimmy Chu!
With this new addition to the couple, comes a great surprise for the rest of the family. In order to achieve this, Drew and Caitlin went to the drawing board to plan a great way to announce the new arrival. In September, Drew and Caitlin had planned a trip to attend Washington D.C. and document the trip with Jimmy Chu Photography. From past experiences, family and friends have always looked forward to looking over the photo collections. Among the collection, would there not only be excellent moments captured of the couple, but also pictures showing hints and clues to the new addition. As family members flip the pages of the photo album, they will question more and more about the subtle hints until it becomes crystal clear! Thank you Jimmy for sharing yet another memory and milestone with us!

For the record, I approached him first! Kevin likes to remix the story. He hates to admit that I got his number first. One fine afternoon in Brooklyn, I saw a tall, dark, and handsome gentleman in a well-tailored suit walking towards his car. There was something about him. I know this sounds cheesy, but my heart raced when I saw him. My heart NEVER races! I'm cool, calm, collected Belle...so I thought. That day I took a chance. I had never approached a man before. I decided to ask for his parking spot and his number. I tried to be sophisticated so I asked for his card. He said," I don't have one." Naturally, he asked for my card. I replied, "Uhhhh. I don't have one." I didn't think about all that. Instead, Kevin suggested we just exchange numbers like regular people. I tried to play it off and replied, "Yeah. That's cool." I was so embarrassed!
We hit it off right away. The first three weeks were effortless. The chemistry was perfect. We spent many nights talking on the phone until day break, getting to know each other before we went on our first date. The following four months however…. not so much. Even though we really cared for each other, it wasn't quite God's timing. We needed to strengthen our relationship with Him first before we could ever truly love each other. So we parted ways.
God's timing is perfect! A year passed. We had time to develop emotionally and spiritually. I spent an entire year missing him terribly. I didn’t want to admit it, though. God deemed that our time to reconnect had arrived. One night, I decided to send him a Facebook message. I wrote, "Hey." He wrote back, "Hey." I thought, "What! That's it?" I refused to reply. A few days later, Kevey wrote me on Facebook asking me out on a date. I told him I was busy. The truth is…I was scared. I didn't want to reconnect only for our relationship to end again. But the God we serve had other plans. A few weeks later, Kevin asked me out again. This time, I was ready to say yes, but I was out of town for my sister, Lyne's wedding. I thought, "This is it. He won't ask me again." He asked me out a third time and I happily agreed.
We celebrated each month together with dinner and an outing. We decided not to take for granted the time God allowed us to be together. After a year, we decided this practice was no longer necessary. We were ready to move on to the next level of growth and development. Kevin proposed to me after about two years and of course I said “YES!” The rest, as they say…was history.

This beautiful girl looks like she needs a parking spot....and my number. She leaned out her window and asked if I was parked close. I told her yes and pointed towards the end of the street. Belle reversed full speed all the way down DeKalb Ave, a one way street mind you, in her sports car. So of course I had to get her number. As she walked to class with her friend, Geo, I decided to lay that Brooklyn mac down on her. I texted her: You have beautiful eyes.
You know what this girl texted back?
" I know"

I was on my much needed coffee break at Starbucks and went across the street to the bank.
I went directly to the teller and had the usual small talk except this time I noticed a young dapper fellow in the office. I asked her who might that be and she said that is Rob, it's his birthday, and he's single. And I thought it's his lucky day. I went to his office doorway before I left the bank and said Hi Rob Happy Birthday! Rob replied Hello, can I help you with anything? I said no not today thanks, and he said Hope to see you come again. Soon after a few more visits to the bank, Rob asked me out and we had our first date at Starbucks. We spent a lot of time together through the summer of 2013 and had taken a day trip to Montauk. It was that day that I realized we had great chemistry. We both have strong cultural backgrounds. With me being Greek and him being Italian we share similar traditions that helped bring us closer together. Every day since then we have been inseparable. We live life to the fullest and it has been a magical experience. We both treasure one another and two years later we are ready to tie the knot.

Should we? Will we? Can we? Yes, let's do it!
This is the exact conversation we had six weeks ago as we sat at home on our couch in the county Cork, Ireland. We had our holidays to Las Vegas and New York planned with about six months and had joked around with the idea of getting married in Vegas. It wasn't an idea either of us had taken too serious until we looked at maybe getting married in New York instead. A quick internet search of weddings in New York and we instantly fell in love with what we saw. A half serious one in a matter of minutes. Let's do this.
A few phone calls were made and before we knew it we had come into contact with Josephine Ruggiero. She was amazing! We soon realized that any fears we had about the ability to organize our wedding in such a short space of time were unfounded. Josephine organized everything like the star she is. Everything felt right. This was really happening. Ohhh the excitement! Let's keep this a secret we decided. Something just for us.
Fast forward six weeks and the big day had arrived and just like we fell in love with each other, we also fell in love with New York City. The day of our wedding was spent with the wonderful Josephine and our amazing photographer Jimmy Chu. Photography is Jimmy's passion and he is so good at it that it led to us remarking "when you have it, you have it!" and thrust us Jimmy certainly has it. If he has to lie down in the middle of a busy street to catch that perfect shot, that's exactly what he does. We were so lucky to have Jimmy capture our special day.
We felt like movie stars. With Josephine in constant control of every little detail and Jimmy's lens set firmly on us, from the hotel, to our ceremony in central park, to a celebratory kiss in times square, we could not have asked for more.
We now have the fun of telling all our family and friends of our wonderful surprise when we get back home to Ireland. We have been together six years, had this holiday planned with six months and decided to get married only six weeks ago.
They may call 666 the devils number, but for us this was heaven.

How we made our choice to get married in New York is a bit of a funny story. We booked the holiday almost a year before we were due to go. We knew it was the concrete jungle where dreams are made of and wanted our first 2 week holiday together to be somewhere unforgettable, so we decided to add to the magic by going to our first anniversary. What jess didn't know is that Dom had the very romantic idea to propose at the top of the world, the Empire State building. But it turned out that the bespoke engagement ring he had ordered from Jess' favourite jeweller Alexis Dove, arrived about a month earlier than expected. Dying to propose Dom popped the question in their favourite local restaurant the Milestone in Sheffield. Then the wedding plans soon began! We loved the idea of getting married aboard just the two of us. Somewhere full of magic and romance that we could visit with our kids in the future. We knew New York was top our list for our destination wedding pretty quickly, so started looking at going back to New York for a short break later in the year. Suddenly we thought why book to go back when we can get hitched while we are there next month! So after a lot of research Dom found the Tropical Sky Team and Josephine With I Do Weddings NYC and it could not have been more perfect! The whole team were great, so helpful and so friendly, we got more excited with every email exchange and before we knew it were were packing Dom's Ted Baker suit and Jess' Vera Wang wedding dress and flying to the Big Apple. The week we had in the city before the wedding was incredible, but it was nothing compared to the dream that out wedding day was. In the beautiful location by Belvedere Castle in Central Park we had the most wonderful ceremony. Tears of joy were shed (mainly by the bride Jess) and vows were exchanged and it was just out of this world amazing from start to finish! The whole day was perfect, we had great fun with our photos taken by the very talented Jimmy and having Josephine being as amazing as always every step of the way made the day one we will always remember every little detail of. Our wedding day was perfect, we couldn't have asked for anything more and wouldn't change a thing. It was the first day of our new life together and wow, what a way to get it started!

Jimmy and I knew each other since he was 6 and I was 5. Our families were friends back in Vietnam and they kept in touch when they came over to the states. He lived in Pennsylvania and I lived in Brooklyn so we'd see each other periodically during family gatherings such as holidays and weddings. We kept in touch via AIM when we were in high school but lost contact when we went to college. I always had the biggest crush on him but nothing ever happened because of the distance. After about 8 years of losing touch, he messaged me on AIM out of nowhere and now 6 years later, we're about to get married. He started as a family friend but ended up being my rock, shoulder to lean on, life coach, but best of all, my best friend and soon to be husband.
Congratulations Karen & Jimmy, looking forward to capturing your wedding in June!

Jenna & James' wedding is hands down one of the most fun & challenging, yet rewarding weddings I've ever had the chance to shoot. The temperature was about 15 degrees with gusting winds and I pretty much couldn't feel any of my fingers. It was such an honor to be a witness, let alone to document Amina and Jason's wedding. And I mean who doesn’t love photographing a couple of people running through the streets of New York City?

Thank you so very much to Linh & Roberto for letting us capture this amazing day!
At the end of the night, the groom gave me one of the best compliments I've ever received as a wedding photographer, and it had nothing to do with photography. He said that it was great having me around because he felt like I was a calming presence during the occasionally hectic parts of the day. It was a great reminder that working with a bride and groom on their wedding day is more than just taking great pictures.

Fast forwarding to the day Matt proposed to his soon to be wife. Throughout their relationship there were no discussions about marriage, it would definitely come to be of a surprise with what Matt was set out to do. The story begins on the island of Hawaii, while they were about to attend one of their best friend’s wedding. Since the flight was quite lengthy, they decided to make it a vacation out of it too. Their journey began on the Kalalau Trail while hiking and basking in the good ole’ Hawaiian sun. The whole trail was 8 miles roundtrip in rough terrain for city slickers like themselves. It was in this trip that Cindy was discussing about moving to Hawaii if marriage was not in her cards. Their hike started out really nice and smooth but after a couple of miles it was getting laborious for them. She was really in a bad mood and said “There better be a pot of gold at this water fall‼” Matt of course laughed internally because he knew what was about to go down. At about the 3 mile mark they finally reached Hanakapi’ai Falls, Matt immediately saw a platform at the falls and told her to go up there; she wasn’t exactly thrilled with his request but she complied. It was the perfect place to perform the deed as they were alone, looking down at everyone in the water. It was their private moment that they can hold dear to their hearts for a lifetime. Whatever words that were exchanged were for their ears only. And as magical their surroundings is, He went down on his knee and asked her for her hand in marriage. She was so surprise that she didn’t hear the people cheering below. It was in this moment that the world she heard and saw was just the two of them. Seizing the moment and swallowing the greeted attention from below, Matt was waving to everyone and acting foolishly, but she had no recollection of that. Matt was so happy to see her happy and the hike back seemed easy as if she was bouncing off the rocks.
Cindy & Matthew - We can't wait to capture your July Wedding!

Well Linh and Roberto is the perfect example of that couple. They grew up in California a block away from one another and attended the same church and have many mutual friends. They went to the same college and even picked the same major. Both worked at the magical world of Disneyland but it was not until one fateful day that they finally met at a little league baseball game out of all places. Strangely enough there were many opportunities for their paths to cross but timing sure is everything. They are worlds apart but have found many things in common. They both learned that they are super nerds and shared the same interest and passion for Star Wars, Science & Angel’s baseball. As one, their dorkiness have intensely amplified and are able to just be themselves.
As Roberto’s career led him to various cities across the state, from Anaheim to Las Vegas and now to NYC; Linh and Roberto have found refuge in their home away from home. As they explore their Love for one another from the long distance relationship they have maintained and endured for many countless years, their strength was mainly due to their faith in God. They have decided to take the final leap of faith and have committed to join together as one. Their lives have come full circle and Roberto is finally moving back home in Anaheim and they both can truly begin to live in their home.
For their first engagement shoot at Dumbo Brooklyn there was a bit of drizzle but that didn’t damper the mood at all. Rain or shine, Linh and Roberto are able to show their Love for one another in the pictures I’ve captured. We finally caught a break with warm spring weather on the second session in the heart of New York City, Central Park. We then chased the sun over to Sinatra Park in Hoboken, New Jersey and enjoyed the last session with some iconic view of the Empire State Building and World Trade Center.
I am so excited to photograph Linh + Roberto's wedding this July! Congratulations to the new couple!
Valentino and Felipe's ceremony was very intimate and we felt so honored to be a part of it. Afterwards we headed to TAO to celebrate their marriage with families and friends. Valentino and Felipes, we wish you the very best and cannot wait to see you again sometime soon!
A few days prior to his birthday, Debbie and Jeffery went out for their usual jog together in Riverside Park South. Jeff was jogging very slowly and needed to stretch out a cramp in his leg. With the beautiful Ringo sculpture across the Hudson River which inevitably set the mood, he knelt down on one knee recalling their first date but instead asking the very important question that would alter their lives forever. Initially Debbie was annoyed that he was delaying their run, but she soon realized what was happening, the uncontrollable tears welled up in her eyes and he asked her to marry him.
And so their story continues...

As fate would have it, Jason and Amina asked their mutual friend to find someone for themselves. They were quickly introduced and surprisingly, they hit it off infamously. Jason and Amina soon realized their immediate connection was not due to the fact they were both pharmacists- rather through their shared notions of true love. Their perfect companions were no longer ethereal beings- they were finally tangible. Within a few weeks, they were inseparable. Jason is a kind, loving, and supportive partner who always keeps a smile on Amina's face. Their easy going attitudes and shared zests for life took them from the apple picking orchards of Westchester to the serene lake side views of Hudson Valley to the awe inspiring wonders of Niagra Falls and to the breath taking views of California's Route 1. Jason proposed to Amina at the location they first met- in front of the New York City Public Library. Currently, they are preparing to embark on their next adventure- a lifelong commitment in matrimony.

With a voice sweet of serendipity, Annie suddenly interrupted Chris in the middle of his story to tell him she had been at the Slaughtered Lamb that very same night in 2008. To think, two people who were at the very same bar one random night unbeknownst to them had somehow found each other three years later and fallen head over heels for each other.
In those three years, Chris had moved from New York City to Los Angeles and back. He had settled in Hell’s Kitchen and, out of loneliness, created an OK Cupid profile. Annie was the very first person on the dating website that he risked asking to meet in person. She said yes, and they met face to face at a bar one day after work. Within the month, they were a couple. And within a year, they were living together.
On June 24, 2013, Chris took another risk. He asked Annie to be his wife. Luckily, she did not hesitate to say yes once more. They’ll be married on October 4, 2014.

Susan & Ken's wedding was beautiful and we loved how they incorporated pieces of their personalities into the decor. Their laid back demeanor certainly helped make the day go smoothly as planned. Every time we are around them we were impressed by their kind and genuine nature. The time and thought they put into their wedding showed, and we had such a great time documenting their special day. Although we were always on the move capturing their day it felt like we were welcomed guests because of their warm and greeting atmosphere.
Betty and Rick met 6 years ago during Winter break in College. They both attended an event co-hosted by their Greek organization. It was that very night their eyes met and anyone looking from within would assume that they were an item already. Even though they had just met, Rick was generous enough (some would say clever) to offer Betty a ride home. In his mind, he wanted to spend more time with her and didn't want the night to end.
Bruno & Laura met in good ole’ Bronx of New York almost 3 years ago. Overworked and stressed with her job led her on a mission to search for a gym ( to release all the built-up negative energy of course!). This was definitely no ordinary gym, it was a boxing gym where she met her trainer turned friend now soon to be husband! Boy was she glad that she chose this gym over any other competitors! Who knew Mr. Right was there at her service (literally(!)).
What makes their story unique is the tolerance & trust they both have to push their relationship forward. Bruno actually lives in France; We all know how straining long distance can be and the perseverance required to endure the many challenges associated with it. Bruno came to New York on a holiday trip to further pursue his career and to explore the love of boxing. His main goal and focus were to train hard but during this time they met and fell for each other. When the time came for Bruno to return back home, they both agreed that they would finish the remaining of the year, (as Laura is a preschool teacher) and the following year she would take some time off to travel to France and continue their global romance. Traveling abroad to & from France was amazing but it definitely ran their bank accounts dry. At that point, they realized the strength of their love and knew they wanted to get married.
Bruno and Laura will be sealing the deal on September 20, 2014! They are so excited to start a new chapter in their lives!

It was finally going to happen for the second time. It was raining on our first session.
We didn’t get the break we needed as we looked up.
We sat, parked side by side. Hoping.
We didn’t want to give up.
And then finally it stopped.
As soon as it subsided, we bravely stepped outside.
We took a chance and prepared ourselves with cover.
And thank goodness we did. Had we given up when it seemed hopeless, we would’ve missed all the beauty.
Fog rising off the ground, gorgeous light, the mist in the air.
The kind of beauty that only comes after the storm.
