The cliche about meeting “the one” is often echoed as it happens when its least expected- well I have to absolutely agree! Sotiris and I met at a wedding a couple of years ago in an already romantic setting. As a bridesmaids at my god sister’s wedding, I wasn’t expecting to meet anyone since everybody is pretty much family, paired up or married with kids! As the night went on, I couldn’t help but notice a handsome guy I've never seen before and was pleasantly surprised when he boldly grabbed my arm to introduce himself. What a brave soul and very memorable! A few weeks later, we started dating and before you know it we were inseparable. We are both pretty easy going and it doesn’t take much to entertain us! We love hanging out with family and friends, going to the beach, out for drinks, dancing, taking weekend trips when possible, and bumming around on the couch together.
What is comforting about our relationship is that our family ties go back many years and we have so many similarities since we are both from the same small city in northern Greece, Giannitsa. When my dad first immigrated to the states in his late teens, a nice family let him stay with them for a short time while he got himself started in the states- that was Sotiris’ parents. My dad is forever grateful to them and it is truly a blessing that Sotiris and I found each other later in life. I guess I have a lot to be thankful for!
We are so happy to have met each other and excited for what’s to come in our near future! - Vickie
