Michael and I had met at a Christmas party about 5 years ago. I had moved to London just a week before and it was my first real night. My new colleagues had previously worked with Michael so I had heard all about him beforehand but was not what I had expected! Michael didn't plan to go to the Christmas party that night and always thought if he hadn't who knows if we would have ever met!

Michael despises me bringing this up but as soon as I saw him I knew he would be an important part of my life - who would have known four and a half years later I would be calling him my husband!

We moved in together nine months later of dating and then during a trip to New York for my memorable birthday last year Michael proposed to me at the Alice in Wonderland statue in Central Park. - Alice
