Our career interest in medicine led both of us to Stony Brook in Long Island. We met in the hospital and lived on the same street in Port Jefferson. We were inseparable and the love blossomed over that year through travel, eating lobster rolls and playing board games.
We were apart for a year when Nick started his residency in Pittsburgh and Christine completed her chief residency year at Stony Brook. Our relationship survived thanks to FaceTime, British Airway points and our precious weekends! Eventually, Christine moved to Pittsburgh to start as a fellow in hematology and oncology.
The whirlwind of a couple of years of dating led us to the Clam bar in Montauk where Nick proposed to Christine over some more of those lobster rolls. She said yes and even let him have the rest of the lobster roll. If that's not true love... Nick and Christine will remain in Pittsburgh for the next three years to complete Christine’s fellowship in Hematology and Oncology and Nick's residency in Pathology. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for us! - Christine & Nick
