Angel and I met through a mutual friend in January of 2012 and little did we know we'd end up here. We saw each other occasionally whenever we'd go out in groups, and remained friends for some time. The chemistry between us was undeniable although we always tried to mask it and blame it on the alcohol! My best friend Dafny (also maid of honor), would always point it out and ask me what I thought of Angel and of course I would avoid it. It wasn't until December 2014, when we hosted a Great Gatsby themed birthday party for one of my close friends, and Dafny told me she had invited Angel. At the time, I had no idea why I was so nervous about seeing him, but I guess my gut knew something I didn't. Until this day, we talk about a specific moment during that party when I offered to get him a drink and as I got up and looked back at him, there was just something so magical in the way we looked at each other, and the rest was history. There's something just so genuine about the love we share, and I believe us having met each other and having shared a friendship before we began dating really set the tone for us. I consider him my best friend and just someone I can see myself waking up next to for the rest of my life. We have a solid foundation, and continue to embrace each other's imperfections, learning from each other, supporting one another, holding on tight through all of life's lows and doing all we can to love one another wholeheartedly and unconditionally. Though we were planning on eloping in Greece, we both knew in our hearts we wanted to share such a beautiful day with our loved ones, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The energy in the room was incredible and we felt so much love. There was a moment on the dance floor when Angel told me to stop and look around - everyone dancing and their faces lit up with pure happiness. We stared in awe and took it all in. It was truly the best day of our lives. - Sofy
